Pratt Institute’s Master of Fine Arts students cordially invite you to Open Studios being held on Friday November 13th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Sunday November 15th from 1:00- 5:00 pm at Pratt’s Brooklyn campus, 200 Willoughby Avenue.

Pratt’s MFA Open Studios will consists of both an exhibition of recent works by the students as well as a chance to visit the artists studios, The Pressure Print Collective at Pratt Institute would like to invite you to a Graduate Print Sale, on view during open studios. Lithographs, woodcuts, etchings, and more will be available for view and purchase. So come to Brooklyn for some art!

P.A.L is kicking off the school year with a show in the Fine Arts Steuben galleries! First and second year Fine Arts students are invited to a show to introduce their work to each other. Enjoyment shall be unbridled. The details are as follows
What: Everyone is allowed one art work, no medium restrictions. If you made it, we want it. We will provide hammers, nails and occasional (most likely emotional) support.
When: Bring your art work to hang in the Steuben galleries between 10AM-2PM on Wednesday, September 9th. The show will remain up until September 17. There will be a closing reception on Sept. 17 from 5-7pm. Food and drinks are provided by the Fine Arts office, so come and take a break from class, and get to know the work and faces of Pratt. Donna Moran, chair of the Fine Arts faculty will be speaking at the event.
NOTE: You will be expected to remove your work from the show immediately following the closing reception. No exceptions. If you are unable to make it to the reception but still want to participate, make arrangements for a friend to pick it up on your behalf.
Where: Steuben Galleries. ground floor of Steuben hall, past the mail room to your left.
The Catch: All participating artists will be required to sign up for a two hour slot somewhere between the Sept 10-17 when they will have to babysit the gallery. A sign up sheet will be available when you come to hang your work. first come first serve.

Images will be online by 10/13/09.
First-years will have an opportunity to submit their images later in the semester.

The PAL site is being over-hauled, and will include galleries of current MFA work. For current second years interested in inclusion:
Web Catalog submission guidelines:
- Quantity of images: 1-5
- Image type: .jpg
- Maximum image file size: 500 kb
- Maximum image resolution: 100 dpi
- Maximum image size: 1024×1024 pixels
- Naming convention: lastname.firstname_year_0#.jpg
- Example: smith.john_2009_01.jpg, smith.john_2009_02.jpg, etc……
Images not meeting these requirements will not be used.
If you have a personal website, include an URL in your email to be added to your image page.
Deadline for submissions: 5:00 PM, 09/31/09
Images received after 5:00 PM, 09/31/09, will be processed with incoming first year works later in the semeter; tentatively in the second half fall semester.
Email all images in a .zip or .rar format to: Pratt Artist’s League
Images will be online by 10/01/09.
